Water makes up about 60 percent of the human body, and oceans cover 71 percent of the Earth’s surface. We have all heard the admonition to drink eight glasses of water a day. Most of us use water every day, not only for drinking, but for bathing, washing dishes, watering plants and cleaning clothes. Water is a huge part of our lives.
